Open position at Barnes‑Jewish Hospital, Main Campus, Operating Room Pod 3. Pay range: $30.00/hr – $47.28/hr.

Additional Information About The Role

CT and vascular position

3/12 hour shifts (10:30 A – 11:00 P)

13 Operating Rooms

3–4 weekday call shifts and one weekend per 6‑week schedule

1 holiday/yr rotating Winter/Spring

OR experience preferred

Cardiac services include minimally invasive, heart failure, and heart transplants; thoracic, robotic and lung transplants plus vascular and endovascular surgery.

Preferred Qualifications Role purpose: Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing care standards.

Responsibilities

Promotes patient‑ and family‑centered care in a healing environment; educates patients and families on illness or injury management, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration.

Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance and engages in professional development.

Develops, implements and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patients/families. Proactively plans and ensures communication across the continuum of care.

Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Position is safety‑sensitive; requires constant alertness and safe work practices.
