Job Responsibilities

Triage and assess client health concerns to determine appropriate response

Verify insurance, both commercial and government

Obtains patient histories and medical information

Perform procedures such as phlebotomy,

Provide patient education for scheduled procedures, self-administration of medication, procedure preparation

Schedule and keep track of appointments

Prepares examination rooms; sets up and maintains medical equipment and supplies

Track and document patient status following sick visits

Obtain authorization for prescriptions as required by insurance carriers

Manage electronic and faxed prescription refill requests

Provide back up phone support and handling patient calls

Maintain examination room inventory and replenish as needed

Qualifications

2+ years of back office experience with in a doctor’s office primary care setting

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant

1+ year of referrals experience

MUST have Phlebotomy experience (at least 10+ sticks per day)

Room patients, thorough medical history, take vitals (EKG, urinalysis etc.) and nebulizer treatments

Experience triaging patients

Computer literacy, including MS Office and electronic medical records systems

Insurance verification experience

Hours for this Position:

Monday – Friday (8:15 – 5:30) with 1 hour lunch

Start Date: ASAP
