Overview Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus available. No contract.

Incentives

New Grad $5,000 Sign On Bonus

1-2 years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $13,000

3-4 years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $15,000

5+ years’ RN experience Sign On Bonus $20,000

Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 per year

Weekend Differential

Shift Differential for qualifying hours between 3pm-7am

Weekend Option Days: WEO rates + weekend differential

Weekend Option Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential

New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $10.00 RN

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.

Licensure:

Person must obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure. Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical requirements/demands:

Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift

Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Unit Information 7B- We offer an immense selection of experiences through our management of complex diagnoses and patient needs with many learning opportunities. This environment provides a strong foundation in nursing and clinical skills. The unit serves the medical‑surgical population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases. The types of patients we serve are those with multi‑system management needs such as infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastrointestinal conditions, and post‑surgical patients. We also coordinate management of patients needing surgical interventions, EGD, colonoscopy, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti‑coagulation therapies.
