Job Overview Total Mechanical Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service & Installation Technician to join our expanding service team. This role is ideal for a versatile technician who excels in diagnostics, maintenance, and system installations for commercial customers. In addition to your technical expertise, you'll also play a key role in identifying sales opportunities and recommending system upgrades, accessories, and maintenance agreements. You'll be empowered with the latest technology—including ServiceTrade software—and supported by a collaborative office and field team to help ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems including furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ventilation equipment, and controls.
Install full HVAC systems including duct modifications, line sets, electrical hookups, condensate systems, and equipment start‑up.
Document all work in ServiceTrade including notes, photos, parts usage, and task status updates.
Recommend system replacements, indoor air quality products, and maintenance agreements.
Review blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer instructions as needed for service or installation.
Communicate clearly with customers, office staff, and other field personnel.
Participate in on‑call emergency rotation as assigned.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service vehicles, tools, and inventory.
Follow all company safety protocols and comply with local, state, and manufacturer codes and standards.
Qualifications
2–4+ years of HVAC service and/or installation experience required.
High school diploma required; technical training or HVAC certifications preferred.
EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting HVAC schematics.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Experience using ServiceTrade or similar field service software preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Sales‑minded with the ability to identify upgrade and replacement opportunities.
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must meet physical demands of HVAC fieldwork (lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, confined spaces).
A background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws.
