Darigold is seeking a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join its Montana team. The Warehouse Supervisor must possess the desire and ability to provide leadership and coordinate supervision across all aspects of warehousing. As a member of the team, the Warehouse Supervisor will serve as a partner within the Supply Chain Division. The Supervisor’s role is to maintain a high level of productivity and continuous improvement throughout their assigned shift, with a focus on safety, reliability, order accuracy, cost savings, team building, and personnel management.
Schedule: 2-12pm, 4 days a week
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and supervision for the warehouse and associated personnel. Effectively motivate, train, and communicate with their assigned teams to assure superior levels of accuracy, safety, reliability, sanitation, and quality. Ensure individual and team performance meets or exceeds goals and expectations.
Prepare and conduct team meetings as necessary for proper communications and development of teams.
Develop an expert knowledge of the warehouse process and all associated equipment. Be able to analytically and systematically troubleshoot warehousing issues and develop the team to be self‑directed in the same activities.
Be able to perform daily checks and reports to ensure the highest order accuracy and quality of product shipped to Darigold’s customers. Maintain shift performance and quality documentation.
Participate in and lead project teams that improve efficiency, safety, quality, reliability, and sanitation, and reduce waste.
Reinforce sense of urgency and productivity during periods of downtime. Effectively communicate issues to the management team.
Communicate and work closely with other departments within Darigold’s operation.
Must be able to work variable hours and weekends. The schedule is Sunday through Friday, with occasional weekend and off‑shift hours as necessary.
Must be able to assist with tasks in the warehouse to cover call‑ins, breaks, and ensure on‑time delivery during busy periods.
Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet, moving pallets within the cooler.
Must be able to spend extended periods of time in the refrigerated environment.
A general understanding of HACCP and Site security protocols.
A general understanding of OSHA manufacturing regulations.
Must be willing to comply with and exemplify GMP practices, including the use of proper PPE and housekeeping standards.
A general understanding of cleaning and sanitation practices within a food manufacturing setting.
The ability to read and write SOPs and then train staff based on the content of the SOP.
Be available for occasional on‑call after‑hours response.
Qualifications
The ability to work with groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds.
Ability to achieve results through others.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be self‑motivated and a self‑starter.
Be able to coach the team members through constructive training and discipline when needed.
Be able to read and adhere to company policies and union contracts, and need to be able to explain these policies to staff and answer questions when they arise.
Be proficient and a fast learner of computer warehousing/inventory software, Oracle/Fusion preferred.
Be able to trace inventory discrepancies with limited data, being a critical/analytic thinker.
Ability to multitask and prioritize issues based on production and client demand.
Nice to Have
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred. Industry experience would be considered in the absence of a degree.
Dairy, Grocery, Manufacturing, or Warehouse industry background is ideal.
Prior experience working in a 24/7 operations facility is a plus.
At least 1-2 years of experience supervising in a unionized environment is required.
