The Opportunity
Saint Luke's East in Lee's Summit is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU RN to join their Perianesthesia team. In this position, you will provide pre-procedural and post-procedural care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing procedures in the Main Operating Room, hospital-based GI suites, and select cases within the Radiology Department. Surgical specialties seen include Bariatrics, ENT, General, Gynecology/Obstetrics, Spinal Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, Podiatry, Urology, Urology‑Gynecology, Vascular, and Robotics. Procedural specialties seen include Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, and Interventional Radiology. Shift Details: Full-Time Days, plus call shifts

Provides pre‑operative and post‑operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures. Utilizes the nursing process. Performs patient care, delegating patient care tasks and supervising other patient care staff. Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures. We are looking for an experienced nurse who is driven by innovation and continuous improvement. We need an out of the box thinker who is solution focused and seeking a challenging environment. We are seeking a compassionate RN with strong critical thinking skills who is passionate about ensuring a positive patient experience for our patients and their loved ones. Job Requirements
Applicable Experience: 1 year Advanced Cardiac Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross Registered Nurse (MO) – National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) Associate Degree – Nursing Job Details
