Job Summary: The
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The Tele RN is responsible for interpreting cardiac rhythms, identifying changes in patient condition, and delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced acute care environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and the ability to respond quickly to cardiac and medical emergencies.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to telemetry patients in a short‑term acute care setting
Continuously monitor and independently interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
Assess patient conditions, recognize abnormalities, and promptly intervene as needed
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
Respond effectively to cardiac events and emergency situations
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience
Skills:
Must be able to independently interpret telemetry rhythms
Certifications Required:
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
License:
Active RN license (state or compact)
