Are you ready to make a lasting impact? As a
Youth Specialist
with
Samaritas , you’ll provide direct supervision and support to refugee youth in a residential setting—helping them feel safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.
What You’ll Do:
Create a family-like environment that models positive behaviors and expectations.
Assist with daily routines—meal prep, medication administration, skill-building, and activities.
Provide safe transportation to appointments and monitor overnight activity.
Be a trusted mentor and advocate for youth navigating trauma, displacement, and cultural adjustment.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent
required.
Ability to learn de-escalation techniques and become CPR/First Aid certified.
Direct care experience
in mental health or working with vulnerable populations preferred.
Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
Must be
21 years or older , have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and meet vaccine requirements.
Full time, part time and contingent roles available.
Pay Rate:
$17.10/hr

Duties and Responsibilities
Establish a family-like environment in the residence that includes modeling supporting behaviors and expectations
Assist youth with participating in daily schedule and routine, including but not limited to meal preparation, medication administration, developing independent skills, and preparing and organizing activities
Provide transportation for youth to appointments according to outlined safety rules
Monitor overnight activity at the home
Job Qualifications Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification
High school diploma or equivalency required
Ability to learn de-escalation techniques and become CPR and first aid certified
Experience
Direct care experience in a mental health field or working with vulnerable adults preferred
Additional Work Requirements
Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record, proof of current registration and automobile insurance required; reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served required
