Veterinary Assistant Join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end‑to‑end care for our precious patients. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Responsibilities

Serve as the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients.

Organize and track patient diagnostics.

Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment.

Prepare patient discharge reports and in‑hospital updates.

Communicate with clients, referring DVMs, and pharmacies regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions.

Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint, radiography, and laboratory equipment.

Experience & Skills Requirements

Minimum 1–3 years of veterinary experience.

Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology.

Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with staff and clients.

Strong verbal and written skills.

Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.

Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients.

Ability to handle high‑stress situations.

Compensation Negotiable based on credentials and experience, starting at $20–$30 per hour. The actual rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
