This is a per‑diem, home‑based infusion nursing position located throughout the Mid/Lower Hudson Valley (Orange, Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess).

As an infusion field nurse, you will conduct patient visits to initiate and continue infusion therapy, perform follow‑up visits as needed, and precept and evaluate newly hired nurses.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time experience as a registered nurse in a home care infusion company, hospital, clinic, or medical facility.

Infusion experience is required.

Supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.

Knowledge of supervision, performance evaluation, and education principles.

Knowledge of Federal HIPAA regulations.

Knowledge of standard nursing policies, procedures, methods, and techniques.

Ability to read and interpret clinical documents, including physicians' orders and treatment plans.

Ability to participate in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Requirements

NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration Certificate.

BLS necessary, ACLS preferred.

Up‑to‑date medical (physical, TB clearance, etc.).

MMR‑Varicella titers or vaccination records.

TDAP and Hep B vaccination series or documentation.

Urine Drug Screen within the last year acceptable.

Flu vaccination or declination.

Two forms of government‑approved ID for employment eligibility verification.

Two satisfactory professional references.

Malpractice insurance.

Reliable transportation.

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Comprehensive nursing assessment skills.

PIV, PICC, mid and central line care, and access competence.

Competence with implanted port access (e.g., MediPort, PermaCath). Competence is a plus.

Educate patients and families in therapy administration via IV.

Infusion therapy preparation and administration.

Patient safety, monitoring, and post‑infusion follow‑up.

Communication with patients, families, infusion pharmacy, and medical providers as necessary.

A successful infusion field nurse will collaborate with the infusion manager, coordinators, and other internal office staff; conduct on‑site visits, supervise nursing staff as required, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities. Time‑management skills are essential. Clinical documentation is paperless, requiring computer and tablet proficiency.

Pay and Hours Pay: $50.00+ per hour (base) - Cases pay $60-$150+ based on the level of care provided

Expected hours: Minimum 10 hours per week (home visit cases)
