Job Summary The Department of Computer Science within the School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. This is a ten‑month tenure‑track position that involves teaching, scholarship, and service.

Responsibilities

Teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate level.

Ability to teach a variety of CS core and elective courses within the CS program.

Teaching may include day and/or evening classes.

Travel between campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins) required.

Online teaching experience required.

Service to the institution, including active research and scholarly activities leading to publication in peer‑reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications Required Educational Qualifications

PhD or equivalent in Computer Science or computing‑related disciplines.

Other Required Qualifications

Reasonable record of teaching and scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
