Responsibilities
University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14‑acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.
Position Summary The Outpatient Program Therapist provides clinical social services and therapeutic treatment skills to enable patients to achieve their optimal level of emotional and behavioral health. The Outpatient Program Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning, case management services, making referrals, crisis intervention and acting as a liaison with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
This is a Full‑Time position (Mon‑Fri 8:00‑4:30 pm).

Qualifications
Education:
Master’s Degree or doctoral from an accredited college or university in Social Work.
Licensure:
Current license from State of Florida required for LMHC and LCSW to deliver outpatient services.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of direct clinical experience specific to family, individual, and group therapy preferred.
Additional Requirements:
CPR certification and successful completion of restraining procedures training within 30 days of employment; understanding of The Joint Commission (TJC), AHCA, OSHA and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements; must be able to effectively communicate with patients and their family members, multidisciplinary treatment team members, managed care representatives and external agencies in a clear, concise, calm, professional manner; demonstrate excellent critical thinking and organizational skills.
