Job Summary
As a Charge Nurse at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center you will oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous acute‑care experience adds tremendous value to our nursing team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor your team of nurses.
Ensure direct reports and the department deliver the best care to patients.
Maintain high engagement on the floor, connecting with nurses, patients, and families.
Attend leadership meetings to learn about new initiatives and share updates.
Monitor productivity and efficiency of the department.
Support team members through 1:1 and group communication, including tough conversations.
Requirements
Two (2) years RN experience within the applicable clinical specialty.
ADN, Diploma, or foreign equivalent.
Current AZ State RN license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS healthcare provider card.
American Heart Association ACLS obtained within six months of hire.
Preferred
BSN.
Charge Nurse experience.
Previous experience with personal computers.
