CNA Instructor at
Canyon State Academy
in Queen Creek, Arizona ✨
Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180-acre campus surrounded by Farm student housing for 300 + youth, a Thrift Store, Cafe, Barbershop and Church open to the community incorporating life skills for our students. Along with a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room & more).
What you will do:
Provide classroom instruction, skills lab training, and clinical supervision using an Arizona State Board of Nursing–approved CNA curriculum
Teach and reinforce essential nurse assistant knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors
Supervise students in clinical settings to ensure safe, ethical, and competent care delivery
Prepare students for successful completion of the Arizona Nurse Assistant certification exam
Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, competencies, and student performance
Ensure a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with program leadership and campus staff as needed
Adhere to all Rite of Passage policies, clinical site requirements, and regulatory standards
To be considered you should:
To teach in an Arizona Board of Nursing-approved CNA training program, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or a valid compact RN license with multistate privilege recognized in Arizona
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience providing direct patient care
At least one (1) year of nursing experience in a long-term care or nursing home setting
Eligibility to serve as a Nurse Assistant Instructor under Arizona State Board of Nursing regulations
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card, or ability to obtain prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience teaching or training adult learners
Experience working with youth in educational, residential, or correctional settings
Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
