The Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home is seeking a compassionate and experienced RN Supervisor Assistant Director of Nursing/ADON to lead and support staff in providing high-quality care to our honored veterans. Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license, or a temporary permit, or a multi‑state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state. Five years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR Bachelor's degree in nursing plus four years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR Master's degree in nursing or public health plus four years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR Doctorate in nursing or public health plus three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse. Job Duties

Serves as the day shift House Supervisor. Makes daily rounds on the Nursing Units. Receives report from each nursing care unit and evaluates and addresses issues as needed. Supervises, reviews, and evaluates performance of subordinate staff in the delivery of resident care and recommends improvements. Organizes, delivers, and evaluates in‑services to enhance staff performance. Acts as consultant, demonstrator and resource person to nursing personnel and conducts Quality Assurance audits as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Makes nursing staff schedules monthly and ensures adequate coverage of nursing staff on units. Assumes the duties of the Nursing Director in her absence. Serves as the Wound Care Committee Chairperson. Evaluates the care delivery for all wounds and monitors progress of wound healing. Position Specifics
