Surgery - Vascular Nurse Practitioner (WhiteCoat Locums)

Rates:
$170/hr regular hourly, $300/night call, $1500/24 hr call and $250/hr call back
This is a full-time position requiring at least one week of M-F coverage per month, including call.
Key Responsibilities
First-Assisting: You must be proficient in first-assisting, endoscopic vein harvesting, and CABG.
Inpatient Care: Morning rounds typically on 5-10 ICU patients with faculty. You will not be responsible for signing in as first call for any patients.
On-Call: You will be required to take night call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend call.
Provider Requirements
Specialty: You will be part of the Cardiovascular Surgery team.
Experience: A minimum of one year of recent experience first-assisting in cardiovascular procedures is required, along with skills in endoscopic vein harvesting.
EMR: You must have Epic experience.
Board Status: You must be a Board Certified NP and have an RNFA.
Licensure: An active Kentucky (KY) license is required.
Vaccination: Both COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed.
Application: Your CV MUST be in a MM/YYYY format with explanations for any gaps in employment greater than 3 months.
Start Date
The target start date is February 2, 2026.
Additional Details
This is an academic/training setting.
Privileging takes an estimated 90-120 days. No emergency or temporary privileges are available.
This is a non-solo position, where you will be working with faculty and a team.
The contract length is 3-6 months with an option to extend.
