What We're Looking For
Registered Veterinary Technician
with 1-2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting.
Registered with the California Veterinary Medical Board.
Effective communication skills.
Knowledge of vaccination protocols, pharmacology, nutrition, animal husbandry and care.
Ability to assist in surgery and collect samples.
Able to take dental digital X-rays and radiographs for the body.
Assist veterinarians in animal restraint, surgical prep, and dental prophylaxis.
Educate clients on pet care and condition.
Knowledge of Surgical Procedures and Equipment Required knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and operation of the equipment.
Skills Preferred
Calm under pressure.
Polite, courteous, and pleasant to clients and co‑workers.
Excellent customer service; able to explain medical conditions and terms to clients.
Responsibilities
Work with veterinarians on animal care.
Monitor surgical and recovering patients.
Maintain surgical logs and controlled logs.
Stock inventory and supplies.
Assist veterinarians and staff in hospital flow.
Help veterinarians with client callbacks and estimates.
Perform dental prophylaxis.
Surgical prep.
Maintain equipment used in surgery and diagnostics.
