Pharmacist (Long‑term Care, Days)
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable pharmacist to join our team. This role involves ensuring the accurate review and dispensing of medications, compounding sterile and non‑sterile medications, and providing counsel to nursing facility staff and physicians. The pharmacist will play a critical role in managing pharmacy operations and supporting healthcare professionals in medication therapy.
Responsibilities
Review prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers to ensure accuracy and determine necessary formulas and ingredients.
Compound sterile and non‑sterile medications using standard formulas and processes.
Direct pharmacy employees engaged in mixing, packaging, labeling, and modifying prescription orders.
Ensure accurate intake and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders.
Dispense medications and provide support and counsel to nursing facility staff on medication use.
Advise physicians on medication therapy.
Counsel nursing facility staff on general health topics, such as diet, exercise, and stress management.
Provide information on products such as durable medical equipment or home healthcare supplies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college or school of pharmacy
Willingness to obtain licensure for multiple states as requested
2 years of experience in a retail environment
Long‑term care pharmacy experience as a pharmacist is preferred but not required
Work Environment The work schedule includes a rotating shift from Monday to Friday, with shifts rotating weekly: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The position also requires working one out of every five weekends, with shifts on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Training involves rotating through different shifts for four weeks. Upon conversion to a permanent position, a 90‑day waiting period applies before eligibility for paid time off. Note that time off within this period is unpaid.

Pay and Benefits Pay range: $62.00–$65.00 /hr. Eligible benefits (temporary role) include:
