Job Duties Lead the Social Emotional Learning Framework (SELF) team, work with the Restorative Practices Framework, develop lessons for groups and individuals, and communicate with administrators, teachers, and district-level personnel. Applicants must be willing to receive and invest in training that best meets the needs of SEL students. Knowledgeable in de‑escalation strategies and age‑appropriate coping skills for SEL students, as well as familiar with setting individual, obtainable, and sustainable goals. Applicants must be flexible and able to provide classroom support, conduct classroom walk‑throughs/check‑ins, and collect and utilize data.
Qualifications Applicants must hold or be eligible to hold NC licensure in area 005 (Counselor) or licensure area 006 (Social Worker). The position is full‑time or part‑time with a 10‑month employment term and may include employment benefits, on a state salary schedule.
