Responsibilities
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and IOP Therapist is responsible for performing social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio‑psycho‑social needs while enabling them through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. The PHP/IOP therapist will provide crisis intervention, individual therapy, short‑term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. The therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is also responsible for case management of consumer’s internal/external support systems and responding effectively to requests for information on a wide range of human service needs. Must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and possess a thorough working knowledge of the State of Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act. Must be able to effectively work with patients of any age population and demonstrate an understanding of normal growth and development as well as developmental stages, and must possess knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.

Qualifications Experience / Education: Must have a Master’s Degree in a related mental health field. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in individual family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills is preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills, with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population.
Licensure / Certification: LPC/LSW is Required. LCPC/LCSW preferred. Candidate may pursue designation of Clinical Psychologist in lieu of referenced licenses. Primary source verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
