Overview
We are seeking a
Speech Therapist , sometimes referred to as our Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Therapist. As our Speech Therapist, you are responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Conduct communication assessments and provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in acute and medically complex settings
Provide cognitive-communication therapy targeting attention, memory, executive function, and problem-solving in patients with neurological conditions
Educate patients and caregivers on safe swallowing, communication strategies, and appropriate use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems to support functional outcomes
Treat patients across ICU, Inpatient Rehab, NICU, and Pediatrics, addressing feeding, swallowing, congenital, critical care and other communication needs
Enhance quality of life and safety by supporting safe oral intake, restoring communication, and promoting cognitive-linguistic recovery
Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
Education and Work Experience
Graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelors in speech therapy required.
MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
Licensed by the State in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current BLS for healthcare providers certification upon hire and maintain current.
