Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgement in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals. Participates in hourly rounding. Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices. May at times be asked to be in charge for a shift(s). Supervises other members of the healthcare team.

Minimum Requirements
Experience: 1 year of acute care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit
Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
Certification: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona, BLS, ACLS are required at time of hire
Preferred Requirements
Experience: 2 years of acute care experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit
Education: BSN

Responsibilities
Serves as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and exercising independent judgment in directing other healthcare staff in the provision of safe, effective care.
Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, supporting patient goals, and ensuring safety guidelines and work practices.
Promotes safe and efficient patient throughput in a high-volume acute care setting to optimize workflow and daily operations in a procedure‑driven facility.
Key duties include directing patient care, participation in hourly rounding, and supervision of healthcare team members.
