Position Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services and the Associate Director of Community Services, the Bilingual Clinical Case Manager provides direct case management and therapeutic services in accordance with professional, legal, and ethical standards, as well as the mission and values of the YMCA of San Francisco. This role uses a client-centered and solution-focused approach to support youth involved in the juvenile justice system and their families. The primary goal is to help prevent further system involvement for first-time offender youth by promoting emotional well-being, improving life functioning, and supporting future planning. The position requires active participation in meetings and trainings and consistent delivery of high-quality client services.

Work schedule: Monday 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. (flexible); Tuesday 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (flexible); Wednesday 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver case management and therapeutic services for clients in the San Mateo Police Department’s Diversion Program, including counseling, crisis intervention, skills coaching, and care coordination in community and home settings.

Work with schools, law enforcement, and community organizations to coordinate treatment and support for youth and families.

Engage in individual and group supervision per BBS requirements (as applicable) and maintain clear, timely communication with team members and leadership.

Complete accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation and reports within required timelines. Meet weekly service and documentation standards for the program.

Adhere to mandated reporting laws and ensure compliance with YMCA safety, confidentiality, and risk management policies.

Complete all required safety and compliance trainings, attend meetings, and participate in professional development activities.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 1 hour or more) and work at a computer.

Ability to carry a bag with a laptop and supplies (approximately 5–10 lbs.) between work locations.

Regular interaction with youth and families in varied environments, including schools, homes, and community settings.

Salary Description The part-time Bilingual Diversion Clinical Case Manager position offers a compensation range of $34.50 – $39.50 per hour. This rate is based on salary benchmarking for similar roles and is aligned with grant fund approvals and requirements for the position.
