Anticipated End Date: 2024-12-31 Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Clinic Location(s): Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location: TX-HOUSTON, 11691-11693 WESTHEIMER RD, STE 1B & 180 TX-BELLAIRE, 5201 BELLAIRE BLVD TX-KATY, 21927 CLAY RD, STE 900 TX-WEBSTER, 780 CLEAR LAKE CITY BLVD, BLDG 1 STE D TX-SUGAR LAND, 137 CITADEL WAY, STE B Responsibilities: Performs duties within the Nurse's scope of practice, facility policies, INS Standards of practice, and approved protocols. Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, and company policy. Completes admission process as directed by Center Director. Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis. Refer to the NP on duty for complete physical assessment as needed. Documents all pertinent data in the patient's medical record. Reports all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follows up on any identified problem. Evaluates the patient's response to therapy and documents findings in the medical record. Educates patients and/or family members regarding the therapy plan. Ensures all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up to date prior to treatment. Adheres to applicable state, local, and Federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA confidentiality. Minimum Requirements: Requires an ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background. Requires a current unrestricted RN license in applicable state. Multi-state licensure is required if providing services in multiple states. Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver is required. Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences: 2+ years of experience with IV preferred. Port, PICC & Peripheral Line experience preferred. Medication Mixing experience preferred. Titration experience preferred. BSN preferred. Multi-state license a plus.
