SSM Health‑SLUCare is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join our growing service line. SLUCare represents the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University, known for leading‑edge care and groundbreaking research. This inpatient position will work in the step‑down unit.
Job Highlights
Provide clinical care to patients transitioning from the Cardiac Surgery ICU to the step‑down setting, evaluate and develop plan of care for new patient consults
Perform detailed assessments, monitor and evaluate cardiac status, manage patient through the pre‑post‑op period, initiate or refine medical management, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, care coordination, discharge planning and education, chest tube and pacing wire removal, wound care
Shift‑based schedule including rotating weekends and holidays
No Call/No Nights
Qualifications
Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
ICU experience is a plus
Nurse Practitioner must be Acute Care Certified or Certified Physician Assistant
