Occupational Therapist OT – Outpatient Ortho / Neuro
MedStar Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at MHPT @ Rosedale Neuro. The role requires professional competency as a general occupational therapist, independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches, and strong teamwork skills.
Primary Duties
Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations.
Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and incorporates patient and family in the goal setting.
Demonstrates proficiency in implementation of treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and evolving health care environment.
Consults with other healthcare professionals as indicated and documents changes requiring plan modification.
Completely proper discharge planning and follow‑up care; accurately documents and charges patient care activities.
Manages time effectively, meeting productivity expectations and consistently providing frictionless access to care through flexibility and empathy.
Takes initiative in pursuing continuing education and professional growth, serves as a clinical instructor, and mentors staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
Maine, District of Columbia, or Virginia licensure, as required for the specific location(s).
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR certification).
Salary Range
– USD $74,214.00 – USD $134,596.00 per year.
