Unit Overview – 3E Cardiovascular & Surgical ICU We care for all cardiothoracic, vascular, general, and head/neck surgery patients requiring ICU admission. Common cases include:
CABG and valve repair/replacement
Vascular stent and bypasses
Cardiogenic shock
STEMI/NSTEMI
Radical neck dissection
General surgery
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
Licensure:
Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure. Must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Physical requirements/demands:
Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Prolonged standing and walking each shift
Grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Certifications:
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
