Sonographer - Radiology Ultrasound - Flexi (802)
Pay range: $30.70 - $49.90 / hour
Shifts: flexi/PRN

To operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform ultrasound procedures on various anatomical internal organs, vessels, fluid accumulations, masses, and developing fetuses. To report preliminary findings, measurements, and diagnoses to appropriate personnel (Radiologist or Cardiologist). To record scanned ultrasound images and transfer to imaging system for interpretation after checking for quality.
High School diploma or GED required. Currently credentialed as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR currently registered as a Registered Technologist with Sonography Designation (R.T.(S)(ARRT)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR currently credentialed as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in area(s) of specialization OR applicable registration within one (1) year for new graduates required. For Radiology department, two routes are accepted: ARDMS: currently registered as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or a student/new graduate eligible to sit for exam with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). ARDMS abdomen or OB/GYN registry required within 12 months of hire into classification. ARRT: currently registered as a Registered Technologist (R.T.) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Advanced certification in Sonography (R.T.(S)) required within 12 months of hire into classification. For either route (ARDMS or ARRT) in Radiology department, ARDMS Registered Vascular Technology (RVT), ARRT Vascular Sonography (VS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) required within 24 months of hire into classification.
