Certified Nursing Assistant – Labor & Delivery

Position Purpose:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Labor & Delivery Unit at Holy Cross Health, you’ll play an essential role in providing quality care and emotional support to patients and families during one of life’s most meaningful moments. Working closely with nursing staff, you’ll assist with patient care, monitor needs, and contribute to a smooth and supportive birthing experience.
What You Will Do
Support the Labor & Delivery team in providing patient-centered care
Assist nurses in collecting data and performing basic nursing functions within CNA scope
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in patient condition
Perform unit support tasks including restocking, room readiness, and equipment checks
Respond to patient and family needs with empathy and professionalism
Function in both the Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing
High school diploma or GED
BLS certification (AHA required)
Basic computer and technology skills (email, EMR, wireless devices)
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

Pay rate:
$17.89 - $25.04 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
