Your Role With Us Salem Health is looking for an experienced Obstetrician to join our established hospital‑based OB Hospitalist team on a part‑time .75 FTE basis. The OB Hospitalist team is a critical part of our unit culture, overseeing perinatal safety at 3,400 births per year. The team works both 12‑hour and 24‑hour shifts to provide continuous coverage. Responsibilities include attending deliveries, OB triage for unassigned patients, supporting established practices with the care of inpatients and surgical assists as needed, providing back‑up to certified nurse midwives and family medicine providers, assuming responsibility for unassigned patients, and managing hospital transfers. Salem Hospital has 24‑hour in‑house anesthesia coverage, consultative maternal‑fetal medicine services, a high‑risk antepartum unit, and a Level III NICU.

26‑bed Mother‑Baby Unit

19‑bed Labor & Delivery Unit (12 labor and 7 antepartum beds) with 2 operating rooms and 3 triage rooms

27‑bed Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Second highest number of deliveries in the state of Oregon

Background / Expertise

Hold a Doctor of Medicine or a comparable degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine

Board Certification in Obstetrics from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology or the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

At least 5 years of experience as a board‑certified or board‑eligible OBGYN physician

Performance of at least 50 deliveries in the past 2 years

Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon
