Job Summary The Memphis Medical Clinics are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to provide outpatient mental health services to veterans. This role includes work at multiple clinics within a 30-minute radius of Atlanta, GA. The Psychiatrist will collaborate with psychologists and LCSWs to deliver high-quality, comprehensive mental health care.
Responsibilities
Perform psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans
Conduct 1-hour initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-up visits
Provide psychiatric management and ongoing care for mental health conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation in the CPRS EMR system
Promote mental wellness and advocate for veteran mental health
Patient Load
Approximately 10 patients per day
1-hour evaluations for new patients
30-minute follow-up sessions
Requirements
MD/DO with Psychiatry specialization
Active clinical experience within the last 6 months
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Any active U.S. state medical license accepted
U.S. Citizenship required
CV with explained gaps (last 6 months)
3 professional references (names and contact info)
Health Documentation Required
MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tetanus (Td), PPD, Flu Vaccination (current)
Certifications
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
