Responsibilities
Performs day‑to‑day Respiratory Care, including bronchial hygiene procedures, oxygen initiation and follow‑up, and care of Emergency Room patients in need of Respiratory Services.
Sets up and performs complex respiratory care procedures such as continuous artificial ventilation and administration of medications.
Records patient data, including ventilatory volumes, pressure/flow measurements, and blood gas analysis.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Respiratory Care; bachelor’s preferred.
CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association.
Current Illinois state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC.
(CRT credential and IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist required within 6 months of hire).
