USP Technologies – Field Service Technician (Phoenix, AZ)
Join USP Technologies, part of Veralto, a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring clean water, safe food, and essential goods. As a Field Service Technician you will support a customer base within a 2–6 hour radius around Phoenix, with occasional travel to New Mexico and Colorado.
Responsibilities
Perform customer field audits, inspections, tests, defect analysis, and trend analysis.
Program and troubleshoot inspection equipment, calibrate maintenance, and report on measurement standards.
Maintain and troubleshoot USP‑owned equipment, including pumps, VFDs, electrical circuits, and electronic instruments.
Use office software to order parts, generate service reports, book travel, update documentation, and schedule workload.
Respond to emergency and service requests and support installation, demobilization, and site clean‑up.
Typical Day
Perform routine maintenance on USP‑owned equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment such as pumps, VFDs, electrical circuits, and electronic instruments.
Utilize office software to order parts, generate service reports, book travel, and schedule workload.
Respond to emergency and service requests.
Support installation and demobilization of equipment.
Perform routine site clean‑up and upkeep.
Support other regions occasionally.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in field equipment service, chemical pump service, and maintenance.
Proficiency with chemical metering/industrial chemical pump repair, plumbing installation and repair (PVC and stainless‑steel tubing), 120/208 VAC single and three‑phase electrical circuits, and electrical troubleshooting tools.
Knowledge of 4‑20 mA loops and digital/discrete signal loops.
Fundamental understanding of flowmeters, level sensors, VFDs, pressure transducers, RTDs, thermocouples, and similar field instrumentation.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, BOMs, and related engineering documentation.
Compensation The compensation range is $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 USD per year. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
