Job Description
Staff-Up is seeking a Construction Equipment Mechanic for a large construction material business in Dallas, TX!
NOTE: MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE!!
Pay: $34.00 per hour
Job description: This position requires the level of knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to diagnose and repair all makes of medium & heavy‑duty construction equipment. Some duties include removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components, including engine components, fuel systems, and the like.
Duties and Responsibilities
Must have own tools!
Inspect and repair construction equipment; such as Skid Steers, Excavators, Curb Saws.
Inspect and repair forklifts, tractors, and trailers
Perform all required maintenance inspections and safety checks as required
Help service customers with their equipment
Troubleshoot and submit repair bids to Service Manager
Perform required Preventive Maintenance (oil change, lube, filter changes, etc.)
Must be able to lift 75lbs and have full use of arms and hands to effectively operate various tools and equipment. Must be able to ascend and descend on and off equipment. Both near and far vision is essential to perform tasks safely and effectively.
Required Education & Experience
Ability to read and understand schematics
High School Diploma or GED
Computer-assisted troubleshooting experience
Construction Equipment and vehicle maintenance
Requires a valid and current driver’s license
