The Visual Arts Department at Roger Williams University School of Humanities, Arts and Education seeks an outstanding individual for semester‑length appointment in the studio arts. Periodically, we seek artists for courses of instruction in our courses including two, three, and four‑dimensional media. Our mission is to prepare students to express effectively through visual communication, ideas, opinions, and impressions about personal, societal and aesthetic aspects of the lived experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate their commitment to student learning and success in a liberal arts university.

Requirements Applicants must be accomplished studio artists devoted to teaching with a terminal degree (MFA) with a proven exhibition record that demonstrates in‑depth studio practice in the field of study for which they teach. Higher education teaching experience is preferred.

At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
