Overview
Air Specialty and Equipment is one of the largest air compressor distributors in Texas. We are seeking an experienced individual, who has worked in an industrial or manufacturing environment, to fill the position of Field Service Technician for the Houston, TX area.
Responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and maintain rotary screw/reciprocating air compressors and various types of air dryers
Perform diagnostics and determine causes for failures on air compressor systems equipment
Perform routine preventive maintenance such as oil changes, cleaning and setting of factory standard controls; provide equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance
Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs
Document all service checklists and associated forms
Strong respect for safety practices and demonstrate the use of necessary PPE and other safety devices
Keep the jobsite clean and better than when arriving
Requirements
2+ years field service experience required, compressed air experience preferred
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Strong mechanical and electrical background
Experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial and industrial compressors and dryers desired
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Has own tools necessary to complete job (basic hand tools, multimeter, thermal gun)
Consistent attendance
Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
