Job Title: Traveling Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic
Pay: $40-45/hr
This position is 100% travel - Mechanics can be based ANYWHERE in the US.
Established Solar Tracking installation company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic that is able to travel and repair heavy equipment in the Field on large scale ground mount solar sites throughout the US.
This is long term position
All travel cost are prepaid (Hotel, Airfare, and Rental Truck)
Pay ranging from $40-45/hr depending on experience + daily per diem
Job Description This role requires a candidate with experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, specifically in troubleshooting hydraulic machinery used for post and foundation preparations. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide proof upon hiring.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic machinery used for post pounding and drill rigs.
Perform electrical troubleshooting and circuit diagnosis.
Conduct hydraulic, pneumatic, and valve repairs.
Repair heavy equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC systems.
Job Qualifications:
Up to 5 years Heavy Equipment Machinery or similar; drill rigs a plus
Previous experience troubleshooting skills in the areas of hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systems
Experience with controls (encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLC, etc.)
Heavy equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins)
Welding and fabrication
Excellent judgement and able to make responsible decisions
Ability to work independently without constant direction
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences both internally and externally
This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver's license and provide proof that s/he has a valid driver's license upon being hired.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
