As a Health Information Management Auditor (HIM), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from adolescents to geriatrics. Working under the guidance of a Director of Health Information Management, you'll contribute to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters patient support and well‑being.

Assist in the Health Information Management Service Department within all standards established by regulatory and licensing agencies.

Consult with management, administration and medical staff to ensure that all patient records are maintained within standards established by licensing agencies.

Maintain confidentiality of medical records, ensuring the release of files and/or records to only appropriate and authorized authorities.

Inform all facility staff of confidentiality policies pertaining to medical records, and remain current on all laws and regulations regarding confidentiality of patient/medical information.

Completion of assignments

Monitor the accuracy and appropriate maintenance of medical records on every patient, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations of state agencies, Joint Commission and CMS standards, and Medical Staff Bylaws.

Your Experience Matters

What we’re looking for:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in information management/medical records preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

A minimum of five (5) years leadership experience in information management is preferred, with direct experience in a health care psychiatric facility preferred. Thorough knowledge of medical records coding and medical terminology required.

Compensation:
