SUMMARY
Assist the Government in receiving, screening, storing, inventory management, cataloging, processing, data entry, record keeping, and distribution of supplies and mail on the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) contract at Fort Belvoir and Kirtland AFB.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive, store, screen, inventory, catalog, process, perform data entry, maintain records, distribute, manage, and dispose of DTRA assets.
Assist with marking assets and inputting asset data in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) and Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS).
Assist with the Government in maintaining, managing, controlling, inventorying, distributing, and accounting for all assets in designated storage areas.
Utilize DPAS and ELMS to provide hand receipt support and maintain DTRA worldwide asset accountability.
Assist with moving IT equipment, furniture, and other facility-related assets.
Assist with the disposal of excess materials.
Assist with the screening and scanning of all material entering the Central Processing, Distribution, and Disposal Facilities (CPFs).
Assist with distribution services for mail, small parcel services, and Department of State (DoS) classified and unclassified pouch services.
Interview and hire new employees when openings occur.
Assist with the outbound movement of small parcel and large-load cargo.
Assist with the distribution of copy and printer paper.
Assist with Feds Feed Families and Food Bank pickup and delivery to the Central Virginia Food Bank.
Ensure DTRA employees’ time and leave are reported accurately.
Approve weekly DTRA employee timecards.
Act as an onsite administrator for organizational compliance.
Coordinate new hire in-processing.
Meet with new hires to complete any outstanding onboarding items.
Review documents and complete Section 2 of the I-9 for new employees.
Ensure all DTRA employees’ schedules are current on a weekly basis.
Work independently and lead the team to accomplish all assigned duties for the site.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide mentorship, counseling, and leadership to the team up to and including hiring and terminations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED.
Three (3) years of experience working in a logistics warehouse or supply warehouse.
Experience in operating a 5-ton truck and forklift.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Hold and maintain a Secret clearance and able to be briefed up to Restricted Data (RD) (generally, U.S. citizenship required).
Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Knowledge of DPAS/ELMS.
HAZMAT certified.
Must be computer literate in order to retrieve data from the DPAS system, input data into Express Mail, commercial mail systems, and provide reports as required.
WORK SCHEDULE Full time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignments or projects.
TRAVEL The expected travel time is less than 50%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENT Must have or be able to attain a valid state issued CDL driver’s license to operate a tractor trailer and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 50%.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The majority of work is performed in a warehouse and distribution centers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Position consists of sitting for short periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, lifting, and carrying boxes, pouches and bags weighing up to 70 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling and working with small objects.
