Project Manager
Job Description
The Project Manager leads a team in day‑to‑day management of safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, risk, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover and client relations for Design‑Only, Engineer Procure Construct (EPC), Construction Management and Program Management projects. The Project Manager oversees projects from inception to completion and may act as EPC Project Manager or Program Manager, providing guidance to others as required.
Responsibilities
Lead multi‑discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety, quality, procurement, construction, environmental compliance, project controls and public/community relations.
Establish project teams and coordinate multiple disciplines to achieve efficient, cost‑effective utilization of staff.
Manage project communication and documentation, including risk reviews and contract negotiations.
Develop and monitor schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
Serve as primary client contact for coordination, budgeting, subcontracting, staffing, compliance and schedule attainment.
Lead internal and external risk reviews and consult with the Risk Department as required.
Manage internal/external reports, providing accurate cost forecasts and accruals to clients and leadership.
Maintain project controls: cost reporting, scheduling, WBS establishment, set‑up and closeout within the accounting system.
Monitor progress and provide input into concerns, redirecting to achieve schedule, budget, quality and overall profitability.
Manage contract closeout activities.
Generate new business revenue by developing new client relationships or leveraging existing ones.
Adhere to and promote safety programs, trainings, policies, and manage safety performance of team members and subcontractors.
Attend industry conferences and committees.
Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff.
Maintain QA/QC process adherence and compliance with company and site safety policies.
Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management or related accredited program and 7 years applicable experience.
Prior experience on construction sites or program management in aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding environment; ability to work overtime on short notice.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to collaborate with owners, contractors, engineers, designers in a multi‑disciplined team to resolve design or drawing issues and accomplish objectives.
Strong experience in document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
