JR102057## Compensation Range$36.86 - $49.77--## Job Description SummaryThe Law Specialist is a highly skilled and motivated professional that will play a critical role in analyzing data, evaluating performance metrics, and providing actionable insights to improve all facets of processing and dispatching calls for service within the law discipline. The Law Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Learning & Development, and Administration to develop strategies for enhancing operational efficiency to meet key performance indicators for the organization thereby ensuring the highest level of customer service and care is provided to our citizens and responders.--## Job Description**Protocol Handling and Analysis - 50%*** Act as the subject matter expert for all law related processes.* Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to law dispatching, including protocol usage, compliance to standards, and resource utilization.* Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.* Assess compliance with established standards, protocols, and directives.**Research and Reporting - 30%*** Prepare comprehensive reports for the leadership team on quality assurance findings, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for improvement.* Conduct research and stay updated on industry best practices, protocol development, emerging technologies, and requirements in the field of law dispatching and law protocols.* Identify opportunities for innovation and process enhancement within the law dispatch system.**Process Improvement - 15%*** Participate in meetings and committees to share information, address concerns, and implement changes.* Assist in the development and implementation of education related to the quality assurance process.* Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall performance of law dispatch operations. This could involve recommending corrective actions and monitoring the effectiveness of interventions.* Participate in policy development and review.* Assist in the development and implementation of education related to law discipline protocols and processes.**Supervise Employees - 5%*** Possible future supervisor responsibilities for part-time quality assurance review staff.--## Required Qualifications**Required Education*** High School Diploma/GED**Experience Qualifications*** 2 years or more years of experience in a 9-1-1 emergency communications center.**Preferred Experience*** 1 year or more of experience in a quality assurance focused role.* 1 year or more of experience managing employees.**Skills and Abilities*** For internal candidates, a minimum rating of “pass” or “meets standards” in every category of the most recent performance evaluation and signed off the Law, Clearance, and Call Processing phases of training.* Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail. (High proficiency)* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and feedback. (High proficiency)* Analytical thinking and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data and identify areas for improvement. (High proficiency)* Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. (High proficiency)* Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build strong professional relationships. (High proficiency)* Knowledge of modern public safety communications principles, procedures, techniques, and equipment, including WCRCC directives. (High proficiency)* Candidate must pass criminal background check prior to employment start date.**Licenses and Certifications*** DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State and maintain for the duration of employment Upon Hire Required* Obtain International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) Emergency Police Dispatch (EPD) Quality Assurance Certification within 6 month of hire and maintain for the duration of employment. Required* Obtain Emergency Number Professional (ENP) Certification within 12 months of qualifying and maintain for the duration of employment. Required* Pre-employment substance screening is required for this position.* This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing the screening in accordance with Weld County policy.This position is non-exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore eligible for overtime pay.
