Job Description Tax Administrative Manager – Tax Client Workflow & Delivery team, New York. This is a hybrid role with three days per week in the office. The position requires someone who thrives in a growing environment and in providing colleagues and clients with exceptional service.

Responsibilities
Oversee overall administrative team success and productivity.
Strategically oversee tax administrative processes across departments, refining procedures for consistency and operational alignment.
Approve and manage assigned colleagues’ overtime and PTO requests in accordance with local compliance.
Ensure deadline compliance for assigned administrative functions and projects.
Lead process optimization initiatives within the tax administrative function to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for tax administrative processes, ensuring consistency and compliance across the team.
Serve as senior liaison between the tax administrative department and executive leadership, providing regular updates on department performance, critical tax deadlines, and any issues that may arise.
Lead development and implementation of advanced administrative systems and processes.
Stay up to date with new technologies to maximize team productivity and efficiency.
Oversee training and development programs for administrative colleagues.
Collaborate with appropriate firm leaders for any performance or employee relations issues.
Perform duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
5+ years of administrative experience, including supervisory responsibilities, preferably within professional services.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in administrative technologies and tax return workflow systems such as XCM, client portals, and related programs.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
Proven ability to lead and manage an administrative team, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and workload distribution.
Experience managing hybrid administrative teams.
Ability to manage multiple cross‑functional projects and initiatives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across teams and levels to meet deadlines.
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Ability to handle sensitive client data with discretion and professionalism.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
Physical Requirements This position primarily operates in a professional office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer and telephone. The role also involves occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of items up to 20 pounds. Visual acuity, manual dexterity, and clear communication skills are essential.
