Project Coordinator – Cardiovascular Team
Location: Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit Main Campus
Shift: Full Time - 40 Hours - Day Shift (8AM-4:30PM)
Position Summary Henry Ford Health is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Coordinator to act as an executive assistant supporting the Chief of Cardiology and the Cardiovascular Division at our Detroit Main Campus. This role provides vital administrative and project coordination support, with a strong emphasis on calendar management, communications, event planning, and project coordination.
The Project Coordinator will be a trusted partner to leadership, ensuring smooth operations across the division while facilitating projects, improving processes, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment while supporting initiatives that directly impact patient care and the success of our cardiovascular team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct support to the Chief of Cardiology and divisional leadership.
Manage complex calendar scheduling, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for communications and correspondence on behalf of leadership.
Plan, organize, and execute departmental events, meetings, and special programs.
Coordinate and track progress of departmental projects and initiatives from start to completion.
Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and external partners to ensure effective communication and follow-through.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Prepare reports, presentations, and materials to support leadership decision-making.
Education/Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree required
1-3 years of executive assisting experience preferred.
1–3 years of project management or coordination experience preferred
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and consistently meet deadlines
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
