About the Position At Ethics Administration, we strive to achieve compliance by governmental officials, public employees, candidates and lobbyists, and provide public access to disclosed information. The mission of the Ethics Administration Program is to provide staff support for the Louisiana Board of Ethics, which administers and enforces Louisiana’s conflicts of interest legislation, campaign finance disclosure requirements, lobbyist registration, and disclosure laws. Further, the Board of Ethics ensures compliance by governmental officials, public employees, candidates, and lobbyists and to provide public access to disclosed information. This position will serve as the Notice of Delinquency Processor for the Ethics Disclosure Division.

Experience Requirements

Three years of experience in compliance programs, federal jobs training programs, accounting, auditing, labor relations, workforce development, or administrative services.

Six years of full-time work experience in any field.

A bachelor's degree.

Experience Substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience toward the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties

Conduct desk audits to determine the compliance status of filers and issue notices of delinquency to those failing to file disclosure statements.

Code, review for compliance, and post reports filed with the Louisiana Board of Ethics. Distribute delinquency notices to non-compliant filers.

Respond to questions and provide information to filers and members of the general public regarding reporting and filing requirements and deadlines; determine and provide appropriate reporting forms.

Maintain all reports and transmit them to the Secretary of State’s Archives Division, in compliance with the Board’s Retention Schedule; maintain statistical information with respect to the reports filed and their compliance with the provisions of the appropriate law; compile records in connection with litigation.

Other miscellaneous duties.

Position- Specific Details Appointment Type: This position may be filled by job appointment, probabilistic appointment (probation in lieu of promotion), detail to special duty, or non-competitive reemployment. Selected candidates may be required to serve a probational appointment of up to two years. Career Progression: As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Program Compliance Officer 1 or 2, depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s). Compensation: The maximum amount listed for the salary pay range is the amount a person can make throughout their career in the position and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay at the time of hire.
