Job Summary Serves as the Webmaster for the district website and all school websites, bringing forward thinking, strategic vision to the design and implementation of all DCPS web assets. Brings a creative eye and strong knowledge of search engine and AI optimization to the district’s web presence, while ensuring compliant accessibility for all stakeholders. Leads and collaborates with an expansive, decentralized team of web content owners and page managers representing all schools and district departments.

Essential Functions

Serves as lead District Web Content Manager; provides leadership and support to district, departments and school content managers in the development and maintenance of websites, web pages, and related web material; social media support; and content management system training.

Establishes web system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, testing, and operation of web information management systems; develops and implements operational policies, procedures and training.

Identifies, maintains, and monitors brand continuity and content throughout the district and school websites to ensure integrity and compliance to meet district standards; updates web content when appropriate; provides lead oversight during district and school web site audits to ensure accessibility meets state and federal requirements.

Coordinates joint project tasks with the Information Technology department to ensure that technical requirements for all web related and/or digital projects conform to department standards and project goals.

Provides school board production team support during monthly meetings and offsite community meetings; may include live television/webcast coordination, audio and video support, presentation setup, and general photography.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Commensurate experience may be substituted for degree where appropriate.

Experience:

One year of administrative management experience in web page design, Front Page or other web publishing software preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge and coordination of website content management systems

Strong Adobe CS Suite and other products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver), Microsoft Office suite and other products (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, SharePoint, Visio, SQL), Windows OS, Apple OS, and HTML technical software skills

Strong word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills

Strong detail orientation skills

Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong creative problem solving skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks
