Our service and solution delivery start with understanding each client's end-state and then seamlessly integrating within each Agency's organization to improve and enhance business and technical operations and deployments.
Position Overview The Inventory Specialist maintains accountability for all non-expendable equipment and assets throughout their lifecycle, in accordance with VA policy and federal property management regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan and manage NX asset lifecycle using enterprise-wide planning tools.
Analyze data on cost, depreciation, downtime, and repair rates to inform procurement decisions.
Support VISN and facility strategic planning for major construction and activation projects.
Utilize automated property management systems for inventory control, equipment records, and barcoding.
Oversee all inventory transactions for NX medical equipment requests and transactions.
Resolve complex inventory issues and discrepancies through detailed research.
Prepare Reports of Survey (ROS) for lost, damaged, or stolen property.
Conduct data/information analysis for acquisition planning associated with materials and/or capital equipment.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory management, asset management, or logistics.
Familiarity with Non-Expendable (NX) asset lifecycle management.
Proficiency in automated property management systems and enterprise planning tools.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Understanding of procurement processes, depreciation, and lifecycle costing.
Ability to pass background checks and meet VA compliance standards.
U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust or equivalent background investigation.
Preferred Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience working in healthcare or government environments.
Knowledge of VA property accountability regulations and VISN-level operations.
Advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
Strong problem-solving and research abilities for complex inventory issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is not guaranteed and will proceed only if the associated contract is awarded and funded.
In addition,
U.S. Citizenship
is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
