The gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Resort in Maui, Grand Wailea, is looking for a Recreation Supervisor to join the team at the pool. Located on 40 acres of lush tropical gardens, this Forbes 4‑Star property is consistently ranked among the world’s best resorts, boasting 780 rooms, 100,000 square feet of banquet space, and 7 food‑and‑beverage outlets.
Classification: Full‑Time
Shift: Various – must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $27 per hour, based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
What will I be doing? As a Recreation Supervisor, you will supervise the Recreation department, greet and serve guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner, and help deliver outstanding guest service while maintaining financial profitability.
Directly supervise recreational duties to ensure efficient service and facility operations.
Identify areas for improvement and implement systems or procedures to increase productivity.
Assist and train team members to meet hotel standards.
Ensure the safety of guests, patrons, and team members in Recreation.
Act as first responder in case of medical emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.
Enforce all departmental and hotel standards, policies, and procedures.
Communicate pertinent information to team members and other managers in a timely and effective manner.
Conduct pre‑shift meetings and attend pre‑con meetings.
Assist with monthly inventory.
Additional supportive functions may include:
Advising management on inventory and operations status.
Reporting suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to the security department.
Attending all mandatory meetings.
Providing general public assistance, instruction, and guidance for guests.
Performing any other related duties as assigned by management.
