About the Role The Company is seeking a Deputy Executive Officer for Project Management with a specialization in Traction Electrification. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing diverse teams and major projects, particularly those involving the design, construction, and commissioning of Direct Current Electrification systems for light and heavy rail transit. This role requires a senior-level professional with extensive experience in Traction Power, Overhead Contact Systems, and Third Rail systems, specifically within the context of North American transit projects. The Deputy Executive Officer will oversee the performance of staff, consultants, and contractors, ensuring the successful and timely completion of projects. They will also be involved in setting and monitoring project goals, budgets, and schedules, as well as representing the company at various meetings and events.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of senior management-level experience in the design and/or construction of major capital projects, including mass transit. A California Professional Engineer license is also preferred. The role demands a deep understanding of rail transit engineering, governmental contract policies, and large-scale capital project management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in directing engineering and construction activities, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, make sound decisions, and interact professionally with a range of stakeholders. The Deputy Executive Officer will be expected to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and to lead and mentor a team of staff in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
