POSITION DESCRIPTION Boardwalk is seeking an Analyst/Associate in our Houston, TX office to support organic project valuation and acquisition activities. This role involves economic valuation and analysis of proposed projects, collaboration with commercial, system planning, and engineering groups to develop thorough economic analyses, and support for acquisition activities such as opportunity screening, target company financial review, market fundamentals analysis, economic valuation, and due diligence. The Analyst/Associate will prepare and communicate analytical work and investment approval documents to senior management.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Strong experience in financial valuation/analysis.
Strong analytical, logical, and economic thinking skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with others.
Proficient use of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and with multiple groups to collect and validate information.
2–4 years of valuation experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Two or more years of experience in the energy industry, especially natural gas.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics, or a related business discipline.
