Position Summary This role is responsible for leading Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) programs within a manufacturing facility to ensure employee safety, regulatory compliance, and consistent product quality. The position oversees the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, environmental and safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.

This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to identify risks, drive corrective actions, and strengthen a culture of safety, accountability, and quality excellence across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, development, and execution of QHSE policies, programs, and initiatives

Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, customer standards, and certifications including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015

Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS)

Develop and enforce health and safety processes to ensure a safe working environment for all employees

Train, coach, and mentor employees and leadership on QHSE standards and best practices

Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement efforts related to quality, safety, and environmental issues

Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and quality/process audits to proactively identify and mitigate risks

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and customer inquiries

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, safety, and environmental performance

Report QHSE performance, trends, and improvement opportunities to plant leadership

Promote awareness and accountability for customer quality requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal standards across the organization

Manage local quality objectives and improvement programs and participate in broader organizational initiatives as needed

Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and foster a strong safety and quality culture

Provide direction and oversight to QHSE support staff as applicable

Additional Responsibilities This role requires flexibility and may include additional duties aligned with the individual’s skills, experience, and business needs.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to complete within six months of hire

5+ years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment

Demonstrated experience leading or supporting ISO certification efforts (ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001)

Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing methods, and risk assessment practices

Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations

High level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

Proven ability to influence and engage employees, leadership, and contractors

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proactive problem‑solving mindset with a continuous improvement focus
